Ngaanyatjarraku

In 2014-2016 I had the honour to photograph people of the Western Desert Cultural Bloc, our Indigenous Australians, people of the Ngaanyatjarraku (pronounced: nan-nat-jarra-ku). With more than 40,000 years of continuous life on earth, rich in culture, language, law, lore, spirit, art and superior land management we have much to learn from our tradition and original land owners and it is with deepest love and respect that I share these images.

Unapologetic, rich, vibrant, vivid and raw.
